Newfoundland's Plumber Since 1962, Day or Night

Trusted by North Jersey families for over 60 years, available 24/7 for every plumbing, heating, and AC need.

About Us

When a pipe bursts at 11 PM in subzero temperatures, you find out fast who actually shows up. Mark Lindsay and Son has been that company for North Jersey homeowners since 1962, earning 4.8 stars across nearly 1,700 reviews, not by running ads, but by sending technicians like Jon Vos into frozen driveways on the coldest nights of the year and getting the problem under control before midnight.

Founded in Newfoundland, NJ and still rooted there today at 21 Union Valley Road, this is a family operation that has outlasted trends, recessions, and a half-dozen generations of competitors. The service area stretches from West Milford and Ringwood to Mahwah, Wayne, and Vernon, covering the full stretch of Passaic and Sussex County communities that depend on reliable heat every winter.

What keeps customers calling back is straightforward: technicians who diagnose correctly the first time. When Brendan and his apprentice Daniel walked into a troubled bathroom, they identified the toilet issue within minutes and had it resolved before the homeowner had to ask twice. That combination of speed, accuracy, and calm professionalism is what six decades of family reputation is built on.

What We Offer

Mark Lindsay and Son covers the full range of residential and commercial mechanical systems, so you never need to juggle multiple contractors. On the plumbing side, that means everything from routine toilet service and water heater replacement to emergency burst pipe repair, slab leak detection, gas piping, sump pumps, water lines, and shut-off valves. Commercial plumbing is handled with the same crew and the same urgency.

The heating and cooling division is equally comprehensive. They install, repair, and maintain furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and ductless mini-split systems. If your home still runs on oil, they handle oil to gas conversions from start to finish. Air conditioning services include full system installation, seasonal maintenance, coil cleaning, and indoor air quality upgrades. Thermostats and HVAC zone control round out the smart-home comfort side.

For properties with private water supplies, the team also services well pumps, an often-overlooked specialty that matters deeply in the rural pockets of West Milford, Hewitt, and Vernon. Every service is available seven days a week, around the clock, with no after-hours surcharge conversation needed. Just call, and someone comes.

"Link to review texted to me didn't work. So I'm hopping on Here to review. Rob came today to clean our boiler coils. Was polite and professional and did the job quickly and we've got hot water and pressure back. I called the office line because we had a few questions and they had him reach out to me. He called right after and answered all of our questions and went into detail to help us get everything sorted. Incredibly patient and professional. George has always been good to us in the past but Rob is great as well. Really appreciate him going out of his way to answer all of our questions after he already finished the job."
